The other day I picked up my son from school, and there were signs that he had had a good day, this sign came in a form of a huge muddy stain on his white soccer shirt.
I was happy that he had, had a good day, also slightly irritated on the stain that I now had to figure out how to remove the stain.
Over the years, I have developed a few strategies on how to remove stains effectively, the method changes according to the fabric, for instance some fabrics can handle a little bleaching and some cannot, some just need to be soaked for a while and all will be well.
In this instance, I was dealing with a fabric that could handled a lot, first I needed to soak it in warm water with soap, then it needed a hand wash, still the stain remained , I repeated this cycle, only this time I also put it the washing machine and that sealed the deal, the stain was gone.
What is the point of my story you wonder? I wanted to remind you that some stains just take a little longer to come off, just like grief, abuse, divorce, losing your business or failure, the list is endless,. Each stain requires a different strategy because you are dealing with different fabrics, some fabrics can handle harshness, and some need the gentle care that you can provide.
Find out what your “stain” needs and apply it, it may take a while for the stain to come off, but it always does!
